I am using a right angle drill to drill holes along the trailing edge. The tool belt is filled with clecos, a center punch, and other goodies. Eat your heart out Tim Taylor!

Wow! Now that the rudder is (more or less) complete, it is remarkably strong. Some of my earlier stumbles made me wonder whether I was going to be able to actually build this airplane...but now I'm feeling much more optimistic. Only 11 years, 8 months, 4 days to go!!!

The next step is a tough one. I have to take this all apart. Drilling produces burrs in many of the holes, so they all have to be eliminated. Then the parts all have to be carefully cleaned and primed. Then it has to be re-assembled...and then riveted. I've got some more rivet practicing to do before I'm ready to try riveting on the real thing.
